AUTOMATED OUTPUT WORKFLOW:
Introducing BatchOutput Server for Adobe InDesign
BatchOutput Server is a new powerful output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript by processing InDesign files from network-based hotfolders. BatchOutput Server automates, simplifies, and streamlines output workflows of publishing houses, printers, prepress service providers and ad agencies. Originally developed for a major publishing house in the United States, BatchOutput Server was thoroughly tested on site to ensure it met the demands of a fast-paced publishing production workflow. BatchOutput Server can process InDesign files from both Mac and Windows computers. |

- PRODUCT OVERVIEW
WHAT IT DOES
Once the BatchOutput Server Workflow is installed, your operators stop wasting their time on waiting for InDesign to output files. The output process is taking place on the BatchOutput Server workstation. BatchOutput Server also contains a single set of output settings for entire workgroup, eliminating the need to set up and maintain the settings on each workstation. |
HOW IT WORKS
> Users choose the Submit to BatchOutput Server command instead of Print or Export
> The document with its fonts is copied to the selected BatchOutput Server hotfolders
> BatchOutput Server is installed on a dedicated station and runs absolutely unattended
> It automatically outputs files according to the hotfolder settings (e.g., hi-res PDF, laser print etc.)
> BatchOutput Server automatically activates the document fonts
> Users check the output status from their own stations with the supplied Monitor application - there’s no need to walk up to the Server station
EASY TO INSTALL
Installation of the BatchOutput Server Workflow is extremely simple:
> Put BatchOutput Server in the Applications folder on its dedicated station - no plug-ins required
> Run the Components installer on the user stations to install the required software automatically |
BatchOutput Server saves companies countless hours that are lost each year because operators have to wait for InDesign to print and export files.
With BatchOutput Server, production and layout artists, prepress operators, proofreaders, retouchers and designers simply copy files to hotfolders that reside on the network. BatchOutput Server automatically outputs the files from its dedicated station using hotfolder settings, and will auto-activate document fonts as well. Operator workstations will never again be tied up by the output process. |
BatchOutput Server allows for a single set of output settings for an entire workgroup, solving problems caused by inconsistent settings across workstations and dramatically simplifying support tasks. Wrong output settings on user stations are a source of significant monetary losses for companies that can spend hundreds of dollars in wasted printing materials and tens of thousands on reprints. |
It doesn't matter what platform operators use - BatchOutput Server will output both Mac and PC files, and activate fonts from both platforms as well.

BatchOutput Server also offers automatic e-mail notifications, remote monitoring from other computers on the network, XMP
variables for output settings, detailed process logs - and much, much more!

For a limited time only, BatchOutput Server can be purchased for an introductory price of $499.95. This is only a fraction of the usual price for similar solutions - which normally cost thousands of dollars… that is, if any solutions similar to BatchOutput Server existed at all. But keep in mind that this introductory price will not last long!
